It is with the heaviest of hearts we say goodbye to our dear friend, Jan. Whether it was in the quiet of the winter, whiling cosy nights away chatting, or the busy summer days he so loved, Jan was always there for us. His laugh and his humour, his music, his generous spirit and his love of life. We will remember him and miss him so much. Arundels and Ahakista simply won’t be the same without him.

After 20yrs of operating our Dog friendly B&B, we are well used to doggy idiosyncrasies and can adapt around them. We offer doggy dining breakfast & dinner and can adapt timings if your dog is reactive to other dogs. (or people). Our enclosed doggy exercise area is ideal for dogs with poor recall or just need a large free exercise area with lots of scents and stimulation or just an area to mooch around in................Agility equipment is also there if they need more of a learning process.

If you've never bought your dog away before we are happy to guide you through the process and ensure that both you and your dog(s) have a great time. I'm told that our cooking is not too bad either!

Happy New Year to all our friends, guests and suppliers, not forgetting our pawsome four legged friends.
As we head into 2024 and hopefully another busy year we look forward to welcoming past and new guests (and of course your four legged friends!) back to Carbery Cottage Guest Lodge.
We offer spacious en suite rooms with sea views together with a self catering cottage (all with sea views). Doggy Dining, (Breakfast & Dinner), 60 metre (1/3 acre doggy exercise area with agility equipment.) Outside BYO bar, Guest Lounge with Sky TV. Short nature walk and spectacular sea views on the Sheep’s Head Peninsula, an ideal destination for exploring West Cork.
No restrictions on dog breed, number or size. However, we do insist that dogs are kept on a lead whilst on the premises (with the exception of the Exercise arena.)
Minimum 2 night stay B&B / 3 nights May-Sept.
Self catering; 3 night minimum / 7 nights May-Sept.
