A warm welcome awaits you at Carrigeen Castle, in Butler Family ownership since 1919. Sean and Peig Butler established a Bed and Breakfast here during May 1976 and, as such, the premises is one of the most enduring in the Irish hospitality sector. In the autumn of 2018, No. 1 Bella Vista @ Carrigeen Castle, a handsome mid-1930s semi-detached house positioned by our main entrance, was added to our accommodation portfolio.

Absolutely delighted to be the overall winner in this year’s Cahir peer reviewed Tidy Towns competition, for sustainable biodiversity planting of the main avenue and entrance at Carrigeen Castle. It was lovely to be presented with the winner’s cup and certificate with a voucher for Dolan’s SuperValu (sponsors) by members of the committee and I was accompanied by Kenny Carroll who has had charge of my landscaping projects from their earliest phase of development in the spring/summer of 2022 to the present time.

A lovely late September sunny afternoon walking in the grounds, thankful for all that has been achieved over the years!

Some really good photos of our gardens - now in their third year of maturity - taken by some houseguests this weekend. Also the Carrigeen Castle memorial tree (a variegated Dogwood) in Cahir Park planted in 2017 and doing really well.

The fine weather of the last two weeks is really opening up the roses and the garden generally.
