Months after a local sports event, defying the 1st storm of the winter season, this Beauty just hung in there. With nothing but a cable tie. Protecting our house, my car & the pub across. A flag symbolizes roots, allegience, and, most of all, hope. Nothing more, nothing less. Celebrating 9 years of hosting people from around the Globe today, methinks we doing our little bit for World peace. No Nobel prize coveted. The enriching experiences, and some friendships forged, don't need such pageantry.

Another local gem! It's on the way along one of our fav routes, the Fanad drive. As I keep saying to our guests: Ireland is small only in geographical terms - even a lifetime isn't enough to savour all of it.😉 Magical, indeed😊

A taste of Summer. Perfect day out Friary, Creeslough. This peaceful place has it all: coastal/cliff/woodland walk and Lucky Shell Beach. On a Monday, we & the puppy had it all to ourselves, but it's never crowded, anyway.
Free entry, parking & toilets. A very descrete donation box, no obligation. Coffee/Tea & homebaked cake in the quaint café if ya like.
A 2hr spirit-lifter - we love it!😊
