Conor's Cottage Traditional Irish Thatched Cottage (Self-catering Rental) Conor's Cottage is a traditional thatched cottage ideally located for touring in the West of Ireland.

It is a 19th century thatched cottage with stables, the whole complex recently restored and retaining its original charm: a kitchen/living room with traditional "cailleach" bed, two double ensuite bedrooms and a utility room. It has the original small windows and half door and flagged living room floor. The fireplace retains the original crane and a solid fuel stove. There are extensive gardens wi

th views on Cooley Lake and ample space for parking. Family-run by the original owners, Mary and Tom will ensure you have a wonderful stay in Ireland, extending you a great welcome and lots recommendations for the best pubs, restaurants and day-trips in the West. This loop walk opened last year around Lough Lannagh in Castlebar (about 10 mins drive from the Cottage). It makes for a beautiful walk, with views from the new bridge across the lake and to Croagh Patrick in the distance.
