There’s something lovely about the quieter corners of Clare. 🌿

Tucked away along the Shannon Estuary, Labasheeda is one of those little places where life seems to move at a gentler pace.

Quiet country roads, beautiful views and plenty of space to just take it all in.

It’s a little off the beaten track, and that’s part of what makes it special.

We’re lucky to call it home. 💚

There's a little bit of history behind our name. 🌿

Beds of Silk takes its name from the village we're lucky enough to call home - Labasheeda, or Leaba Shíoda.

Local legend tells of a sea captain who took shelter here during a storm and found the waters of the Shannon Estuary so calm that he compared the experience to sleeping on a bed of silk.

We couldn't think of a more fitting name for a place created for slowing down, switching off and enjoying a quieter pace of life.

It’s always wonderful to receive such lovely feedback from the people who come to stay with us.

Knowing that our guests have enjoyed the peace, the surroundings and those little touches that make a stay special really does mean a lot.
