We have some sad news.....

After three and a half years of serving you, our valued customers, we have made the difficult decision to stop serving food at Nagle's.

It has been an incredibly emotional decision, as we have worked so hard over the last three years to get the quality of food and service to the best we possibly can and one that we are so proud of. This is a testament to the dedicated and hard working staff that we are lucky enough to employ.

When we opened Nagle's in September 2021 ( with a 4 day old baby 😱), we could never have imagined how much the business would grow and that we would have over twenty fantastic staff members working for us. While this has been amazing, it has not been without stress.

We first approached our Local Council about sign posts two years ago, but our planning application was refused with no explanation. We have since approached two local TDs on a number of occasions, neither of whom have gotten back to us. We have also approached two local councillors about bike rental for the Blueway, to which we never gotten a response. It is utterly disappointing that the local council & TDs do absolutely nothing to help small businesses.

From our side, we have tried many different options and ideas to grow our business, but increases in food costs, running costs & wage costs have made it financially unsustainable to continue.

It has been a really difficult decision and we are so grateful to our staff who have been so supportive and obliging over the past few weeks. They are an amazing bunch, and we will miss working with them so much 😪

To all our loyal customers, thank you all so much for the support, the banter & the chats. We know that it will be a huge loss to the village and the regulars who enjoy the social outings just as much as the food.

For now, we will be open on Friday, Saturday & Sunday until the 18th of May. This will give people time to use vouchers. Rest assured that if you have a booking with us, we will filfill all our commitments, and we hope people will come and support us over the next few weekends ❤️
