Today, we remember the lives lost in the sinking of the RMS Lusitania on May 7th 1915, a tragedy forever woven into the story of Cobh.

The Commodore Hotel welcomed survivors, caring for the injured and serving as a temporary hospital and morgue during those heartbreaking days. Over 111 years later, that history still lives within these walls.

Our gallery in the lobby stands as a quiet tribute to the resilience, compassion and humanity shown here in Cobh during one of history’s darkest maritime moments.
