Here at The Sardinian LTD. we are delighted to be launching our brand new website www.thesardinian.ie 🥳

It’s been a long few months of working on it and we are really proud of it 🥰 For the first time ever we have our own booking engine to accept direct bookings from guests 🥳

We have also put together an extensive list of all the properties we manage so all group sizes from solo travellers to large groups and corporate bookings can find something to suit their needs under The Sardinian family 🥰

The Sardinian LTD is much more then a business, it’s a family 🥰 every check in done, every bed changed, every happy guest, every positive review, all made possible by our amazing team. Last night we continued our yearly tradition of going out for dinner and drinks together as the Sardinian family to celebrate another amazing year and to start of a great Christmas 🥰 we look forward to seeing what 2026 has in store for all in the Sardinian family and we can’t wait to meet plenty more new & returning guests.

As we start of another week here in Cobh it’s looking like a busy week ahead. As the peak season kicks off here in Cobh with the first liner of the season visiting last weekend & the schools on Easter break, we’ve been busy welcoming lots of visitors to Cobh staying in The Sardinian Guesthouse as well as the various other properties we manage. Today has been a very special day at The Sardinian 🥰 It would have been our Granny’s 100th Birthday 🥳 None of this would have been possible without her. We have been sharing with you some of the properties we manage here in Cobh at The Sardinian but 8 Harbour Hill is the home of The Sardinian guesthouse, where our business began. Prior to that it was our granny’s home. This is where our mother & her siblings grew up. It was always a welcoming, loving, homely home where granny would always be found with a mug of tea chatting to someone.

When we had the opportunity to turn it into the guesthouse it is today we had 1 main aim, to make the house a welcoming, fun & loving home for many families visiting our beautiful town to keep granny’s spirit & memory alive. I’m sure she’d love chatting to all the guests on check in, finding out their story and making them feel at home.

This week we bring you one of our newest offerings here at The Sardinian LTD. Nana’s Cottage is a lovingly restored rural cottage with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen / dining room & living room. Ideal for a girly get away, weekend break with family or for a group of friends looking to escape the fast paced city life for a few nights. The cottage has been designed with comfort in mind, from our large cosy beds to the bathtub in the master en-suite. With some beautiful walking & cycle trails nearby and a quiet village pub next door, Nana's cottage is the perfect escape.

While staying at Nana’s Cottage your just a 10 minute drive from Cobh town centre where there is lots to do and see, such as Spike Island, Cobh Titanic Experience, Cork Harbour Boat Hire and so much more. Alternatively Marlogue Woods is 5 minutes from the cottage & makes for a lovely walk. Cuskinny strand is also just 2 minutes down the road from the cottage and it is the perfect location for some sea swimming with a sauna after.

This week we bring you another one of our larger properties that we manage at The Sardinian here in Cobh. The Square house is a 6 bedroom self catering holiday home in a quiet little square of houses and is just 1 of several self catering properties we have available for families or groups looking for a base to explore Cobh & Cork from.

The Square House is a charming, spacious and comfortable 6 bedroom house in the centre of a family friendly, quiet little square. Refurbished in 2023, this house offers guests all the comforts you could want while visiting the picturesque tourist town of Cobh. Just a 5 minute walk from the town centre, all tourist attractions, bars, restaurants and shops are within walking distance yet far enough away that guests can have an undisturbed nights sleep.

When letting the square house guests have 1 double bedroom on the ground floor along with a ground floor bathroom, kitchen & a living / dining room. Upstairs are 5 more double bedrooms & the upstairs bathroom. There’s a large, enclosed private garden to the rear & for any guests traveling with an electric car, there is even a private car charging station. The house also comes fully inclusive of bed linen and towels, free high speed unlimited WiFi and a 24/7 supply of hot water to the showers in both bathroom.

Even though the vast majority of our guests give us 5 star reviews ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s not something we take for granted here at The Sardinian. Just this weekend we welcomed a lovely group of Scottish ladies 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 who braved coming to Cobh to watch the Ireland V Scotland 6 Nations match in the Roaring Donkey Cobh 😊 they may not have left with the result they wanted but that didn’t stop them from having an unforgettable weekend of memories.
