Sad to lose our former cottage warden of many years. Violet loved Leighdale and carried on as warden well into her eighties. May she Rest in Peace now after a full life, well lived. Always remembered by her many Guiding friends. ❤️. Guiders and friends are welcome to join us for a cuppa at the cottage on Tuesday after the funeral. ♥️ please car share up the hill as parking limited.

Great turnout at Leigh-dale cottage today to celebrate the official re-opening. We were especially happy to have our wonderful Mrs Violet Warner to cut the ribbon. So lovely to see her looking so well. Thanks to everyone involved in making today special. To all the ‘workers’ and all the guests - Thank you. Special thanks to David who drove the scout bus up and down to the parking. Thanks to Diarmuid O’Donovan for allowing us to park on his forecourt at the local Amber station.
