Breakfasts include freshly squeezed fruit & vegetable juices, home-made muesli and organic yoghurt, home-made pancakes & maple syrup, hot potato cakes with creme fraiche & smoked salmon, local farmhouse cheese, a scramble of eggs laid by our own happy lazy hens, warm scones, hot tea and coffee. Local food produced by local people is used with pride. We are very fortunate to have wonderful restaurants within 10 minutes drive. The Farm-
Guests are welcome to visit the farm, to help with the milking or stroll along the farm. We work the land in an environmentally friendly manner and enjoy sharing it with nature by farming within the Rural Environmental Protection Scheme. Fortview House was awarded the National Winner Agri-Tourism Award 1996 and again in 2000. It was the National Winner Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Farming and Conservation Award in 2000 and it was a winner in the FBD national farmyard awards 2009. Our Family-

Fortview Self Catering Cottage is just over the road from Fortview House B&B itself, at the quiet, sunny end of our farm, surrounded by green fields and mountains and on a clear day one can see Dunmanus Bay and castle. The cottage has natural stone walls, wild roses, shrubs and a small herb patch. The accommodation provides a careful blending of old and new. Sleeps up to 6 people. It is furnished throughout with antiques, solid fuel stove, oil fired central heating, all one needs in tableware and a kitchen with all the comforts of today. Downstairs:
