Wednesday night was a special one for the Trigon team ✨

Our Managing Director, Aaron Mansworth, was honoured with the Special Recognition Award from the Irish Hotels Federation for his outstanding contribution to the hospitality industry.

Aaron’s journey started in his family’s bar in Cobh, sparking a lifelong passion for service, community and genuine Irish hospitality. From iconic hotels in Switzerland and New York to leadership roles across Ireland, he has always led with integrity, kindness and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Today, he guides our teams at The Metropole Hotel and Cork International Hotel with that same spirit — lifting others up, empowering people to grow and inspiring us every day. 💛

We’re incredibly proud of our Group Executive Chef, Alexandre Petit, who will be showcasing his culinary talent on show later this afternoon.

Originally from Paris, Alexandre has called Ireland home for the past twenty years. With over two decades of experience leading some of the country’s busiest and most renowned hotel kitchens, he brings creativity, precision, and a deep respect for locally sourced ingredients to every dish he creates.

As Group Executive Chef for Trigon Hotels, which operates The Metropole Hotel and Cork International Hotel, Alexandre is the driving force behind the group’s culinary innovation and sustainability strategy. Passionate about responsible food sourcing and zero-waste practices, he recently launched Trigon’s Food Charter and is an active member of the Chefs’ Manifesto, a global network of chefs committed to creating a more sustainable food system.

We’re thrilled to see Alex representing Trigon Hotels; and Cork on the national stage today. Don’t miss his appearance on RTÉ Today!

Last week, our MD Aaron Mansworth joined the Cork Trade Mission to Canada, exploring opportunities in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto with leaders from Cork’s business, tourism, and education sectors. The delegation had a packed schedule, meeting with government agencies, universities, and industry experts over five days.

Highlights included discussions on hospitality, education partnerships, and innovative projects, showcasing Cork’s talent and tourism sectors on an international stage.
