OUR NEW BEDS HAVE ARRIVED!!

We are beyond thrilled to announce that our new beds for every room in the hostel have arrived. New and improved curtains, lockers, usb & light kits along with new mattresses.

We are so happy how everything is coming together, this has been our biggest renovation in recent years and thank you to all the guests who are staying over this period and dealing with the chaos of the hostel.

Thank you to Sleeptite for helping us get our vision together and for sending Brendan, Brian and Tuck down to Cork to help us put the beds up. We could not have done it without them.

To our staff you have all been such a huge help, working extra hours, manual labour and dealing with the chaos of it all. We never could do it without you!

We hope you all are excited as we are 👏🏼

Guest Highlight: Kerry Constant

Kerry has been a guest of Sheila’s on and off for over 12 years, coming to stay with us to run different park runs, city marathons and visit local attractions around the city.

In 2024 he ran over 54 park runs across Ireland and the UK which is a huge achievement to himself. He also received his 250th park run t-shirt while also volunteering over 100 times at different events.

We are very proud of Kerry and always look forward to him coming to stay to tell us what runs he has completed and what is next in store. He continues to inspire us all. We’re grateful for his return and can’t wait to see how he continues to enrich the running community but especially the Sheila’s one too.

If you haven’t had the chance to meet Kerry yet while staying with us, it’s probably because he is running but if you do catch him be sure to reach out and say hello!

The redesign of some of our rooms is finally complete, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From fresh new decor to more cozy, functional spaces, we’ve worked hard to create an atmosphere that feels just like home. Whether you’re here for a short stay or a longer adventure, we think you’ll love the updated vibe as much as we do.

Come check out the new look and experience the comfort and style we’ve been working on—it’s the perfect spot to rest, recharge, and connect with fellow travelers. Can’t wait to welcome you!

Also a huge thank you to David O’Brien .ie for all the inspiration with this! You have outdone yourself yet again 👏🏼

And of course to the boys at Novarock for making it all happen, we couldn’t have done it without you.

But most importantly to our housekeeping staff for being patient with all the mess, working extra hours to make sure rooms are ready for each guest and never complaining about it all. We would be lost without you ❤️
