Preparing to welcome our first guests of the season soon, and so looking forward to meeting their extended family. Just have to go over to Achill Island Sea Salt for a gift pack, and will bake some Teach Cruachán brown soda bread for them on the day they arrive. Hope the basking sharks and dolphins make an appearance!

Our sincere condolence goes to Mary, Brían, Eoin and all John’s family on this sad day for Dooagh. John was a seer in the village, full of ideas, plans, and projects, all underscored by his beloved music. Thanks to him, hundreds of local children, including our own, learned to play an instrument. Many of them have gone on to become life-long musicians, and we’re sure they all thank John for his inspiration. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

We’re wondering if anyone is going in the direction of Cork over the weekend? Guests left some paperwork behind and we’d like to get it closer to where they’re staying, in Bandon, so they can pick it up on Sunday, perhaps at a Garda Station along the way? They’re flying home from Cork on Monday afternoon.
Courier services don’t deliver at weekends, and they also think it’s a bank holiday here on Monday 🙄
