Belfast day trip from Dublin — is it worth it? 🚂 2-hours by train. A completely different city. Absolutely worth it.

Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland and one of Europe's most interesting cities for history, culture and — increasingly — food and drink. It is very easy to visit from Dublin and the trip itself is genuinely enjoyable.

Getting there 👇
🚂 Enterprise train from Dublin Connolly to Belfast Grand Central — about 2 hours 10 minutes. Runs multiple times daily. Book in advance for the best prices.
💶 Note: Northern Ireland uses British Pounds (GBP), not Euro. Bring or withdraw some before you go.

What to do when you're there 👇
🚢 Titanic Belfast — the world-leading museum about the RMS Titanic, which was built in Belfast. Allow at least 3 hours.
🏛️ The Cathedral Quarter — cobbled streets, independent bars and restaurants. Great for lunch.
🎨 The Ulster Museum — free, excellent, covers Irish history and art in detail
🌸 Botanic Gardens — free, beautiful and right beside Queen's University
🍺 The Crown Liquor Saloon — a Victorian gin palace owned by the National Trust. The most ornate pub in the British Isles.
