Clare Ecolodge Clare Ecolodge in Feakle village, East Clare, is a family-run guesthouse on a 12 acre farm.

Loughnane’s, Feakle, East Clare, is a family-run B&B and guesthouse which also offers self-catering accommodation. The buildings, which have been in the family for over 100 years, were renovated 10 years ago. Since then, Billy and Liz Loughnane have been welcoming guests from all over the world. Feakle for a residential course or using the village as a base to explore the wild and beautiful landscape of East Clare. Feakle is an ideal location from which to discover the East Clare countryside. Steeped in history and heritage, the area is known for its fine walks, stunning lakes, rugged mountains and of course its vibrant Irish traditional music scene. Loughnane’s offers a unique blend of tranquillity and fun giving guests a genuine Irish experience.

Festival season is in full swing in East Clare. Next weekend is Féile Brian Ború 20 minutes from Clare Ecolodge. Brian Boru's oak tree is only 10minutes away. His old fortress (pictured) is a must visit for everyone. Also pictured is Craggaunowen, a very unique reconstruction of a Celtic settlement less than 20 minutes away. This really says it all! After one month we have produced over 1000kwh. On any given day Clare Ecolodge uses between 10 -20kwh. This includes running a heat pump that generates all our hot water. Even still that's a lot of energy going back into the grid with no financial incentive. Everyone can do this in Ireland but the Irish Government have to step up with more action and less words. Our Solar PV panels have been up and running for a week and the results are better than anticipated. Good to know they work in all weather conditions. The new heat pump is making a massive difference as well. Gwan the sun!! Clare Ecolodge is located on a 12-acre farm in Feakle village. We offer large and bright rooms in a place immersed in nature where you can enjoy the tranquility of the grounds and surrounding countryside as well as discovering the charm of a rural Irish village. There is music, singing and dancing in the local pubs every week. There are quiet walkways and cycling loops. We are centrally located for visitors to the West and mid-West region of Ireland being less than 25 minutes to all major motorways. We are less than 5 minutes drive to Lough Derg and Lough Graney and there are many ancient sites close by. Steeped in history and heritage, the area is known for its fine walks, stunning lakes, rugged mountains and of course its vibrant Irish traditional music scene.
