Exciting news from Mayo North Tourism, Ireland !!

The remarkable Neolithic Site and Visitor Centre will reopen from this Thursday, March 12th.

Approx 45 minute drive from Attymachugh Lodge, Located just outside Ballycastle in County Mayo, Ireland, it boasts the world's most extensive Stone Age field system, dating back 6,000 years. This historic site is a must-see along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Visitors can enjoy an upgraded experience, including an interpretation of the site's archaeology and a audio-visual exhibition showcasing the region's rich heritage. Overlooking the dramatic Atlantic Ocean, the landscape, shaped by millions of years of natural forces, offers a glimpse into ancient farming life.

From March 12th until November 4th 2026, Céide Fields will open daily from 10am. Last admission will be 5:15pm. The café ‘Kells Kitchen’ will be open 10.30am - 4.00pm, 7 days a week.
