Tara Walsh is a native of Connemara and lives with her husband in Oughterard, Co. Galway. Ever since she was a child she was very creative, which lead her to study art. She has an honours degree in Fine Art & Design. Her three children have since grown up. This gives her time to go off for the day and paint in plein air. Tara take her inspiration from the beauty of nature in her surrounding area. She takes sketches back to her studio to experiment with different mediums, like linocut and watercolours.
