We were delighted to attend the Fáilte Ireland Galway Tourism Networking Event at Dexcom Stadium.

It was a pleasure to meet so many new faces and connect with industry professionals from across the region. The event provided valuable insights, engaging conversations, and a fantastic opportunity to discuss the exciting future of tourism in Galway.

We were delighted to attend the 2026 Galway International Oyster Festival soft launch 🦪

Today the native oysters are “put to bed” which marks the end of the current season. The festival in September will then celebrate the return of the native oysters and the start of the new season, and we are proud to be sponsoring this years Oyster Festival.

The Galway International Oyster Festival is widely regarded as the oldest oyster festival in the world, celebrating a long-standing maritime tradition that dates back to 1954. It remains a major cultural asset to Galway, drawing visitors from around the globe and showcasing the region’s rich seafood heritage and vibrant community spirit 🩵

What a fantastic honour for the Group to be recognised as the Tourist & Hospitality Excellence Award Winners at the 2025 Galway Chamber Awards.

It was a truly wonderful evening which recognised the best of Galway with so many passionate speeches showing the ambition and drive in the room to make Galway continue to grow.

This award recognises every single staff member in the Connacht Hospitality Group, as we enter an exciting new phase in our history this is a fantastic acknowledgement that we are heading in the right direction.

Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting Green Earth Organics farm in Galway, and it was truly an eye-opening experience. We explored the incredible world of locally produced, organic foods and learned just how important they are - not only for our health, but for the health of the planet. 🌎

From understanding biodiversity to discovering eco-friendly alternatives to pesticides, the visit highlighted how thoughtful farming practices can make a real difference. We also got a behind-the-scenes look at biodegradable crop covers and other innovative solutions that help reduce environmental impact.

Of course, the highlight was picking and tasting fresh cherry tomatoes straight from the vine! 🍅 the flavor was unforgettable, a vivid reminder of the quality and care that goes into organic produce.

Supporting organic, locally grown foods isn’t just about taste; it’s about promoting sustainable farming, protecting ecosystems, and reducing our ecological impact, one meal at a time.

Here’s a look at this year’s Dragons Den, a day full of creativity, strategy, teamwork, and most importantly, fun.

All five teams delivered impressive performances, raising an outstanding total of €10,879 in just a few hours for their chosen charities. Congratulations to The Connacht Hotel team, who were crowned the winners of the night. Their well-deserved victory reflected their dedication, collaboration, and ex*****on.

The teams from The Connacht Hotel, HYDE Hotel, M. Fitzgerald’s, Galway Bay Golf, and An Púcán will continue their fundraising efforts in support of Galway Hospice, National Breast Cancer Research Institute, Pieta , Croí Heart & Stroke Charity, and Western Alzheimers Foundation.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed — from those who helped organise the event to all who donated and supported the teams.
