🎁✨ GIVEAWAY: Two Tickets to Jiggy at Galway Climate Inspirations Festival

Galway City Council's award-winning Climate Inspirations Festival will return to Galway from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th of June, bringing five days of creative, community-led events focused on climate action, sustainability and positive change. The Climate Inspirations Festival will centre on Fr. Burke Park, and feature a diverse programme of climate talks, workshops, live music and performance, Climate cocktail club, a community group fair, family-friendly activities, a melting pot-luck, and a second-hand market.

To celebrate the return of this brilliant and important festival, we’re giving away TWO FREE TICKETS to Jiggy in the Festival Tent at Fr Burke Park on Saturday 27th of June. Jiggy’s mercurial line-up mixes and melds Irish traditional music, world rhythms and cutting-edge dance grooves into an irresistible live experience. The band took the internet by storm in 2018 with their video ‘Silent Place’, celebrating the global togetherness of dance, clocking up over 65 million views online. Their debut album ‘Translate’ went to number one on world music charts in Ireland, the USA, Canada, France, Australia, Poland and the UK, making them a firm favourite with festival audiences across the globe. Jiggy have since performed in the USA, India, Kazakhstan, Europe and the UK.

Galway Simon Community invites you to rise with the sun on Sunday June 21st, and come together in solidarity for Summer Solstice Dip at Dawn 🏊🌥️

Beginning at 4.20am on Salthill Beach, this special sunrise gathering will raise vital awareness and funds for people facing homelessness across the West.

Before taking the invigorating dip, participants will be guided through gentle warm‑up exercises and a grounding yoga session led by Laragh Cunningham and Sarah Thornton of SoulMoves. After the dip, everyone will be welcomed back to shore with a well‑earned warm tea / coffee along with refreshing smoothies from Innocent. There will also be a lucky dip draw for some wonderful spot prizes.
