📣 Incoming CAO applicants 📣

If you’re planning to study at University of Galway this year and have not yet applied for on-campus accommodation, you can join a waiting list now.

Check out some key info below!

📌 There is no fee to apply.

📌 Only ONE application is permitted per student so visit our website and decide which village and room type you’d prefer in advance.

📌 You’ll need a valid email address that you will have access to for at least the next 12 months. We recommend using an email address that you check regularly.

📌 You’ll need your unique CAO number (NOT your Leaving Certificate exam number).

📌 You’ll need to complete the application in one sitting.

📌 We recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to complete your application to reduce the potential for error.

📌 You can include your first choice on the CAO as the ‘course’. Don't worry, you can update this later if it changes.

📌 Seeing ‘join waiting list’ beside your preferred room? This is correct! You can only apply to join a waiting list at this point.

📌 The deadline for submitting an application is 3pm, Tuesday 26 August 2025.

📌 Post-CAO room lotteries will commence on Saturday, 30 August 2025. Save [email protected] to your email contacts now.
