Good day to everyone, our guests, friends and family. We at Ferndale hope you all stay safe and be healthy. As we just have heard about COVID-19 restrictions have been extended till the 5 of May, we urge all of you and fellow competitors to respect those restrictions enforced by the government. Please keep all friends family and our precious elderly safe and do not expose any people to this horrid virus. To our competitors I would like to encourage you to close - you do not want any incident in your houses it would be devastating for your premise and your future could be in jeopardy. We noticed that in County Mayo there are still over 70 places who are open for business as usual - scary indeed. All over Ireland there is vacancies at 400 places.
Again we implore you to consider what it means to expose you to the threat. We wish you all to stay safe and healthy. To the Achill community response coordination centre we would say a big thank you for all you are doing for our beautiful island. We admire the courage and love you put in.

In normal times the tourist season for Achill would just about be starting. Unfortunately, these are far from normal times. However this crisis will pass and we hope to see you with us back again.

Exciting news:
We are in the process to upgrade another few rooms with our quirky style and bring the rooms to the next level of comfort and elegance.
Recently we have received a five star rating from the AA - what a fantastic time - that encourages us to invest further in to our luxury bed and breakfast. We will keep you all posted with pictures and text how we get on.
The major part will be the arabian room with a part makeover. New floors, change of layout and a brand new baywindow/small conservatory.
The royal suite gets a slight facelift and so does the minisuite and eventually the chinese room gets its long desired halftester pagoda style.
Looking forward to this as we would love to see you back with us at Ferndale.
