Bring your chairs, blankets, picnics, (perhaps a brolly) and be prepared to be daring at this outdoor adaptation of David Walliams’ bestseller. Who knows where the night may lead?

Kinsale Good Food Circle’s restaurants have gone mad! For one day only!

On Saturday, 21 June 2015 there will be a Midsummer Lobster Madness Sale in all Kinsale Good Food Circle restaurants. You can order a whole lobster for only €20 per person. Crazy, or what?

All you have to do is book in advance at the restaurant of your choice, using the code word LOBSTER.

Meanwhile, a group of Good Food Circle chefs have been spotted putting lobsters back into the sea! More Midsummer Madness? On the contrary: the lobsters that are being returned to the sea are female lobsters, carrying the eggs that will provide lobster to the town’s restaurants for many years to come. So you can be sure that any lobster you eat in Kinsale is ecologically sound.

On June 21 2015, Midsummer’s Day, the sun will not set until almost 11pm. So take advantage of the longest day of the year, and spend a leisurely afternoon in Kinsale before heading to the restaurant of your choice for a feast of lobster. Then sample some live music in the town’s bars, or take a stroll along the pier in the late evening light.
