essible from the mainland, by road bridge from Portmagee and by car ferry from Renard Point, Cahersiveen. The ferry runs from Knightstown Pier to Renard Point. It operates a continuous shuttle service, with a five-minute crossing, 7 days a week from April to October. Knightstown is the main hub of activity on the Island. The picturesque village offers superb views of Valentia Harbour, Beginish Island and the mainland. Used as the departure point for a variety of boat trips and fishing trips, it also boasts many activities and attractions within walking distance of the Park

Good morning folks! Kevin O Connor here. Some of you may have noticed we’ve changed our name from Valentia Island Sea Sports to Valentia Island Adventures. We’ve made the change to reflect the expansion of the business to include more adventures and activities both on and off the water all year round. A massive thank you to .sandrao for all her hard work and dedication over the past 20+ years in creating and running Valentia Island Sea Sports and for trusting me to pass the torch to. Valentia Island Sea Sports has helped make memories for so many people over the years and we’re excited to keep making memories with you all as Valentia Island Adventures.

With this we would like to kick off 2026 with 2 weeks of Easter camps for ages 6+:

📍: Valentia Island Community Centre in Chapeltown
⏱️: 9am to 3pm

Camp 1, March 30 to April 3 (Tuesday 31st will be run in Knightstown meeting at ‘The Watch House’)
Camp 2, April 7 to 10

Join us for an action-packed week of fun, games, sport and arts & crafts. Delivered by a qualified P.E teacher with 10+ years experience in primary schools. We will deliver sports specific skills, drills and games to enhance and develop many different sports played around the world. Participants will improve movement, hand eye co-ordination, fine motor skills, confidence and team work to name a few all in a fun and safe environment.

Please note that the ferry will not be sailing tomorrow morning due to ongoing technical issues. We are continuing to work on a resolution and hope to provide a positive update by lunchtime.

Valentia Island Caravan and Camping is a family friendly Park, operated by John and Emma Shanahan. We are situated on The Wild Atlantic Way and just 450m from Knightstown village. Our Park is nestled in quiet surroundings on the outskirts of Knightstown village, making it a perfect base for exploring the Islands natural beauty and to enjoy a unique Island holiday experience. We have electric tent and touring pitches with water points on each pitch. Our facilities building includes, showers, toilets, disabled facilities, campers kitchen, laundry, chemical toilet, grey water waste disposal area, games room and playground. We also have seasonal static mobile home pitches for private occupancy. We do not rent mobile homes.
