As the darker evenings draw in, we invite you to join us for our monthly mini vigil this Friday evening in the Parish Church.

The vigil takes place from 9pm to midnight.

Confessions will be available in the Chapel of Reconciliation from 8pm to 9pm.

Join us on Saturday, August 29th for "Faith in Bloom", a special conference celebrating the Church Return to Nature Project exploring how faith communities can play a leading role in restoring biodiversity and caring for creation.

The event will highlight the inspiring journey of Knock Shrine as a flagship participant in the project, showcasing the significant achievements made in partnership with Mayo County Council’s Biodiversity Office.

The conference will run from 10am to 3pm in St. John's Rest & Day Care Centre.

‘ A Church for everyone’ is the theme for the penultimate day of the National Novena.

Our Guest Speaker today is Deacon Mark Paine from the Archdiocese of Birmingham at 3pm and 8pm.

Deacon Mark Paine is part of the Catholic Stream disability theology network and advocates for neurodivergence. He is autistic and a father of autistic children, he has 28 years’ experience in primary education and special educational needs.

We are delighted to share our schedule of guest speakers for this year's National Novena, which takes place from 13 to 21 August.

Daily Ceremonies take place at 3pm and 8pm, with workshops each day at 12.45pm.

There will also be the opportunity to attend daily guided prayer sessions at 11.15am and 5.15pm throughout the Novena.

This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Ireland, which was elevated to the status of Basilica by Pope John Paul II during his visit in 1979.
