Lord, You make all things new
You bring hope alive in our hearts

So that in our time, many will see the wonders of God
And live forever to praise Your glorious name.

"We need a winter in our lives
a time of rest, a time to stand still
a time to reacquaint ourselves
with the faith in which we live.
It is only then that we can draw strength
from the one in whom we are rooted
take time to grow and rise through the darkness
into the warm glow of your springtime
to blossom and flourish
bring colour and vitality into this world
your garden.
Thank you Father
for the seasons of our lives."

Christmas is nearly upon us

Christmas is nearly upon us

A Winter Prayer

Lord, In the midst of Winter, when the days are cold and wind can
pierce….. remind us of the warmth of your love.

In the midst of Winter, when days are short, dawn comes late,
and dusk arrives early….. remind us that in the darkness your light still shines.

In the midst of Winter, when the flowers of spring still lie hidden
in the earth, when leaves are off the trees, and the world can
seem bleak….. remind us that Easter is but a short time away.

And when in our lives we feel as if we are experiencing a season
of winter, reach out to us with the power of your resurrection so
that we may feel the warmth of your love and see your light that
alone can take away the darkness of our soul.

Amen

I love Holy Knock. The Vigil on Friday night was amazing.

May God the Father bless us.
May God the Son heal us.
May God the Holy Spirit enlighten us,
and give us
eyes to see with,
ears to hear with,
hands to do the work of God with,
feet to walk with,
a mouth to preach the word of salvation with,
and the angel of peace to watch over us and lead us at last,
by our Lord's gift, to the Kingdom.

Amen.

Today, we welcome the Dominicans on their annual pilgrimage to Knock Shrine. This is the final official pilgrimage of the season, we thank you for being with us.

Anointing of the Sick will take place at 2.30pm followed by Mass at 3pm with Benediction and Rosary Procession (weather permitting).

Friday night

Lord,
you bring down the curtain of night on a weary world.
Help us to commit our unfinished tasks into your hands
and lay our burdens at your feet.
Grant us refreshing sleep
that we may rise in the power of Christ,
to greet another day.

‘Martha, Martha, you worry and fret about so many things yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part; it is not to be taken from her. ‘

Luke 10 : 41-42

Today is the feast of Saints’ Martha, Mary and Lazarus. As we look forward to the long weekend ahead, it is an ideal opportunity to take time for a break from the busyness of our lives and to be still in the presence of the Lord.

Here at Knock Shrine, our beautiful flower beds are in full bloom and within the 100 acres of stunning gardens, you will find quiet spaces to sit, reflect and pray.
