The day time stood still as the news broke of the passing of our beloved Mr Maye.
It’s hard to believe a year has passed, Many remember Mr. Maye’s incredible journey, from psychiatric nurse to pioneering DJ with his own self built system, and then to a highly respected business owner and hotelier. Some of us were blessed to witness his caring, kind, and loving nature firsthand.
Having Mr. Maye as your boss was truly a blessing. He wasn’t just a boss, he was a mentor who genuinely listened and believed in everyone’s potential, helping them achieve their goals.
He was a firm believer in helping those in need and giving everyone a fair shot, always doing so discreetly and without seeking any recognition, which perfectly captured his selfless nature.
There hasn’t been a day we haven’t remembered, spoken about, or asked ourselves “What would Mr. Maye do?” in any given situation.
It’s the simple things we miss the most – the days he’d sit with us, sharing life stories, giving history lessons, or offering advice for work and personal matters, always ending with “sure, I’ll leave it with you.” But what we miss most is just seeing him walk through our back door every day multiple times a day wether it be 3pm or 3am.
You are truly missed beyond words. Though you’re gone from our sight, you’re always in our hearts and minds.
Mr. Maye, you truly were the best.
