Our Story

Carlingford Cottage is a three-bedroom holiday home sleeping up to nine people, available to rent all year round. This magnificent home, on a quiet country lane, is set on its own secluded site. With large lawns, wooded area, stream and ample parking it is a great base for adults and kids to explore and enjoy this corner of Ireland.

With a first floor open plan living areas to maximise the views over Carlingford Lough and the surrounding mountains, and generous bedrooms on the lower level which open out onto our expansive decking and seating area with stone charcoal BBQ.

Quiet and relaxed, yet only a short trip into the bustling and lively village that is Carlingford. Chose from local taxi services or why not walk or cycle the impressive Carlingford-Omeath greenway along the shores of Carlingford Lough. We’re approximately 4 miles from Carlingford and half a mile from the village of Omeath.

Rest at ease, with electricity and oil central heating included, as well as bed linen and towels.(Sorry we have a no pet policy due to family allergies) Carlingford is a magical village full of character and is one of the best preserved medieval villages in Ireland.
