Hi there - your favourite(or not) serial complainer back again come to think of it you have to commit three bad things to gain the title of serial - I only put up two posts.

Sorry to disappoint those who seem to be so concerned about my posts I am not complaining .....

We have to congratulate the Elphin Agricultural Society for going ahead with show yesterday you deserve a medal for the way you coped with the weather but still carried on and gave a great day.

We have been in Elphin for nearly eight years and have run our B&B here for that length of time and have been treated with nothing but kindness and courtesy by the community.

I was quite taken aback to read some of the comments in a recent post - veiled though they may be - directed at myself and business in such a derisive tone for having an opinion.

I reiterate I will not apologise for having the opinions in my posts and will continue to do so as long as it affects my business.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to comment on posts as they see fit but what I am saying is if you are going to comment make it honest and not insulting.

It appears that what I have said in my last two posts has classed me as a constant complainer about something so petty when there are other things more important going on in the world of course these things matter.

I make no apologies for my complaints as it is affecting my business.

I am well aware of the business it brings to the town and the jobs for locals and when the road is done will make travel easier. What I am asking is that they are a bit more diligent with their housekeeping be a good neighbour cover up your load and slow down

Everyone is entitled to their opinion without having to be called in question for it.

Firstly we would like to thank Wills Bros and McGuire haulage contractors for making the effort to wash the roads and cover the loads on lorries.

They were out the back of eight washing again - as seen in the first picture but unfortunately they left a muddy tide mark as you can see - lorries (at that time) with covers as pictures show.

Two hours later it all changed heavy rain had washed the muddy tide mark down into the car parking space (not being as bad as yesterday but still there) -also lorries with no covers - these are only two of several that passed at the same time with no covers.

Thanks for your efforts perhaps you can have another go

On the continuing saga of the N5 extension this what it was like outside my front door after the rain yesterday, so much for washing the street - this also happens after the street is washed. This mud carries into the house wet or dry - so much so we are having to ask the guests to leave their shoes at the door - great customer relations that is. We are know that we are not the only business or resident with this problem but there is just so much you can put up with before having to say something the contractors are obviously blind to the problem or just don't care about what is staring them in the face. Added bonus in photos lorries with no covers
