Swinford Gardening Club will have their first trip of the year on 23rd May. They plan to visit Tullynally Castle and Gardens in Castlepollard and Knights and Conquests in Granard. There will be surprises as well! Breakfast, dinner, all entrance fees and guided tours are included. The cost is 90 euro. The bus will leave Swinford from Lower Main St at 8.30am. Swinford Gardening Club Talk

The next Gardening Club Talk will take place on 26th May in the Meeting Room on Lower Main St at 8pm. John Brennan will talk and give demonstrations on hanging baskets, window boxes and tubs. He will be happy to answer questions afterwards. All are welcome to attend. Non members 5 euro.

Darragh from Shaw's Turlough Nursery and Garden Centre will give the last gardening talk of the year on Tuesday, 25th November at 8pm in the Meeting Room on Lower Main St. He will be happy to answer your questions after the talk. All are welcome to attend. Non members 5 euro.

Seán Mitchell will give a talk on 'everything you need to know about fruit trees and fruit bushes' on Tuesday October 28th. It will take place in the Meeting Room on Lower Main St at 8pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Seán will be happy to answer questions afterwards. Non members 5 euro.

Swinford Gardening Club will be taking its first day trip of the year to Lovely Leitrim on Saturday, May10th. The trip will include visits to Parke's Castle, the Ballroom of Romance in Glenfarne and Kiltyclogher Heritage Centre. The trip costs 85 euro. All entry fees, breakfast and dinner are included. 🌷The Irish Garden welcomes you to Strokestown Park on April 9th! 🌷

We are contacting you with some details about The Irish Garden's upcoming coffee morning and gardening talk happening soon. We want to meet our readers throughout Ireland and would like to invite your club/ group, to come along, and meet the team!

Date: Wednesday, 9th April '25
Time: 11am for refreshments (Talk starting at 11.30am)
Venue: Strokestown Park, Roscommon
Cost: FREE

A reserved space in the café will be made available for tea/coffee and scones prior to the talk. Our Deputy Editor, and author of The Open Gardens of Ireland, Shirley Lanigan, will talk about growing in the summer. Afterwards, there will also be complimentary access to the Strokestown Park walled gardens & woodland for all attendees.

Our annual dinner scheduled to take place this evening in the Gateway Hotel has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule the event at a later date.
