We are now taking registrations for the SB Junior Academy, running from April to August, for juniors aged 8 - 17.
This academy is a structured, season-long development programme designed to help juniors improve their skills, understanding of the game, and confidence on the course, while still allowing plenty of time to play and compete.
Over the course of the programme, each junior will receive:
- 8 × 1 - hour structured group coaching sessions, delivered in age-appropriate groups (maximum 12 per group)
- 1 × 40-minute individual coaching lesson
- Custom club fitting / measurement session
- Video swing analysis throughout
- Strength & conditioning session, focusing on warm-up routines, movement, and physical preparation for golf
- Junior Competition Entry Fees Covered during the period Ongoing guidance and support throughout the season
Coaching will cover all key areas of the game, including fundamentals, short game, long game, scoring skills, and on-course decision-making.
The programme is suitable for juniors of all abilities.
Group Coaching Schedule
The 8 group sessions will be delivered as follows:
April Tuesday 7th April – Group coaching assessment session
April - 1 x Saturday afternoon sesion Strength & Conditioning session Date TBC
May - 1 x Saturday afternoon session
June - 1 x Saturday afternoon session
July – August 4 x Tuesday sessions, running from the second week in July through to the third week in August during the summer holidays.
Exact group times will be confirmed once registrations are finalised.
Individual Coaching Sessions Each junior will receive one 40-minute individual lesson as part of the programme. These individual sessions will primarily take place between April and June, where possible, and will be used to: Focus on each junior’s individual needs Reinforce learning from group sessions carry out video analysis and club measurement
Competitions & Handicaps From June through August, junior competitions will take place every Tuesday, providing an excellent opportunity for juniors to apply what they are learning in a competitive environment.
As part of the academy: Juniors will be supported in gaining a handicap, where applicable Guidance will be provided on scoring, rules, and competition preparation Competitions will act as a key marker of progress throughout the summer.
Programme Cost €200 for the full April–August programme, paid in full ahead of the 1st session.
Places & Registration Places are limited, with numbers capped to ensure quality coaching and individual attention. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
