Friday is Culture Night, free and citywide. Saturday is Breathe, The Pink Floyd Experience, at the Theatre Royal.

Here is what makes it easy. The Fitzwilton Hotel is on Bridge Street, about five to seven minutes on foot from the train station. Parking on site is free, limited and first come first served.

The Met Bar, in the photo with the street outside its window, serves dinner from three until nine, until half nine on Friday and Saturday. Breakfast runs to eleven at the weekend and check out is twelve.

This Friday the Waterford Harvest Festival opens across the city. The same night Waterford FC play Sligo Rovers in the FAI Cup quarter final at the RSC.

Waterford FC are in the FAI Cup quarter final on the opening night of the Harvest Festival.

Friday 4 September, Waterford FC against Sligo Rovers at the Regional Sports Centre. The Waterford Harvest Festival runs that Friday to Sunday 6 September, across the city, with a mix of free and ticketed events.

If anyone is coming to you for either, there are rooms at the Fitzwilton Hotel on Bridge Street for the Friday and the Saturday.

The plate in the photo is head chef Jason Condron's, from the Met Bar kitchen. The Met Bar serves lunch from twelve until three and an evening menu from three. Service runs to half nine on the Friday and the Saturday.

The Autumn Sale is live on the Fitzwilton Hotel site now, 15 per cent off bed and breakfast on selected dates.

Midweek in October the city moves at walking pace. The Waterford Greenway trailhead and the Viking Triangle are both a walk from the door.

Two nights instead of one. The match on Friday, then a full Saturday in Waterford city. House of Waterford Crystal, the Viking Triangle, the quays, then dinner at the Met Bar at the Fitzwilton Hotel.

Congratulations to Lynn.

There is a list on the Fitzwilton Hotel's TripAdvisor page of the things guests mention most often. Met Bar. The penthouse. Car park. Breakfast room.

And then one name. Lynn.

She is the only person on that list, out of 1,191 reviews.

One guest last week wrote that she "made sure everyone had what they need". Another said Lynn looked after them for three nights in the bar. That is her, exactly.

Some people are simply good with other people. Lynn is one of those, and our guests spotted it long before we handed her anything.

So she has won our July award for the most positive guest mentions. Decided entirely by the people she looks after, which is the best way to win it.
