🎻 It's the Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival Weekend! Louise Duffy will be LIVE at 3pm outside the Westport Town Hall Theatre today and there are so many amazing musical delights happening all across the weekend. Check out their page for all the details!

📣 We are looking for volunteer leaders on our Children's Summer Programme!

Be part of a team who will help to deliver a 3 week programme of activities from July 13th-31st for children aged 8-13.

Help organise and supervise activities for children during the programme.

Your commitment can range from 1 day over the three weeks to doing 2 days every week. This will depend on your availability to volunteer.

Applicants need to go through a recruitment process which includes Garda Vetting and completing a Child Safeguarding Course.

Your donation keeps the doors of Riverbank open to people who have nowhere else to go when the cold sets in.

Every morning men and women arrive after sleeping outside in freezing weather. They come in shivering, wet and hungry. Staff give them a hot meal, a shower and clean, dry clothes.

The food restores warmth, the shower brings relief, and the chance to sit safely indoors helps them recover their strength. For many, this is the only time in the day they are treated with care and respect. At Christmas, that care means even more. The nights are long, the city is quiet, and people feel forgotten.

A gift of €30 provides the heat, the food and the simple kindness that help someone survive the winter and feel human again.

In response to a recent article and commentary in The Mayo News, we would like to share our public statement in support of Westport Action for Youth, and their powerful example of community-led action and participatory democracy; values that are at the heart of our work. It is essential that all community members feel empowered to voice their views and help shape the future of the place they call home.
