The Old Farmhouse Retreat hosted a unique bespoke Glow Society event where the guests got to nourish themselves with a cleansing Sauna, Yoga, and Facials!! Combining nature, nurture and beauty that left everyone radiant from the inside out. Jackie and Mags facilitated a gorgeous day which included a delicious lunch and a goodie bag full of natural beauty products! Thank you ladies for allowing us to hold space for your special retreat day!!

Bealtaine: pronounced ‘byell-tan-eh’, A Celebration of Nature, Renewal, and the Cycles of Life

The name itself is believed to be derived from the Celtic healing god Belenus, and the month of May, “Mí na Bealtaine,” still carries this ancient association. Like many festivals of Pagan Ireland, Bealtaine is intrinsically connected to nature, offering a time to honor the cycles of growth, fertility, and prosperity.

One of the most notable aspects of Bealtaine is its deep connection to fire, a symbol of transformation, protection, and life-giving energy. Bonfires were a central feature of the festival, just as they are during Samhain. These sacred flames were believed to offer protection, bring fertility to the land, and ward off evil. People would walk around or jump over the fires, symbolizing purification and a wish for health, prosperity, and good fortune.

Over the weekend we had a wonderful Qigong workshop led by Li of Li Qigong who teaches in Ireland and Spain. We learned about our electromagnetic field and how we heal by strengthening the Dantian (Chi) and moving to free up the energetic blocks. She led us through a gorgeous Dragonfly flow and after lunch we measured each others energy fields. Thank you to everyone who attended and .wicklow for helping with set up and cleaning. Special thanks to Li for an enlightening day!

What a glorious day we had here yesterday! Thanks to Colleen and all the attendees for sharing your Sunday afternoon with us. I hope you enjoyed the Tropical Ocean themed Soundbath and tasters of Kundalini and Kirtan mantras. I try to pull a variety of ancient practices from my bag of tricks that both protect our energy fields and honor our devotion to the divine love within us all. Have a wonderful week everybody!! ❤️🕉️
