The Area
Ramat Bet Shemesh is a religious neighbourhood, encompassing all types & styles, with a variety of shuls, botei midroshim, as well as schools to suit every taste, & the main Anglo shul is
located in the street, just a very short walk from the Apartment. On the opposite side of Lachish is the entrance to the large & pleasant Ayalon Park, which extends all along the central street of RBS. The whole area of Ramat Bet Shemesh Alef is quite compact, with Lachish being in the centre of the town, so most locations in the neighbourhood can be reached easily on foot within about
five to ten minutes. Jerusalem is about 30 minutes by car or by bus, & there are also regular bus services to Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, & elsewhere. The train station is located at the entrance to Bet Shemesh (to which there is a regular bus service), from which one can travel in comfort to various other cities in Israel.
