The weather is cooler and we have had our first few rains.
That makes this time perfect for long walks to explore the Mount of Olives.

Wow what a day discovering Jerusalem together with some of our guests 🗺️

We started with a breathtaking view from the Mount of Olives. From there, we visited the Garden of Gethsemane, then entered the Old City through the Lion’s Gate.
We paused at the Pools of Bethesda before enjoying a much-needed coffee break at the Austrian Hospice ☕️ (the view was worth every step!).

Next came the Western Wall, followed by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Finally, we exited through the Damascus Gate, catching a glimpse of the ancient Roman entrance before making our way back to the Mount of Olives.

Wow… what a day! Our feet are tired, but our hearts are full. (15000+steps)❤️🏙️

What an experience it was to walk through the Old City of Jerusalem, making our way to the Upper Room the very place where the Holy Spirit was first poured out. There we paused to pray, and it felt as though heaven drew near.
These difficult times make us long for His presence, they make us long for another fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
May it be so oh Lord!

Electric, magnetic, awe-inspiring just a few words that come to mind when describing this outing.
For anyone with a grasp of cosmic geography or an awareness of spiritual dynamics, the Temple Mount is truly a profound experience.
With such a rich history, this place is always worth visiting.

On this particular day, we explored the Temple Mount, took in the view of the Eastern Gate, made our way to the Southern Steps, and ended the morning with an underground tour beneath the Mount.
It was a lot of walking but every step was worth it.

While visiting various ancient sites lately we were able to Check out an active dig site! You’re right there as folks uncover old pottery, tools, or even bones, each one spilling secrets from way back. It’s like being in on a treasure hunt where every find’s a big deal!

Walking along the walls of the Old City in Jerusalem is a breathtaking experience. From this elevated path, you’re treated to sweeping views of ancient rooftops, bustling markets, and some of the most sacred sites in the world. To one side, the golden Dome of the Rock glistens in the sunlight; to the other, you see the Mount of Olives and the rolling hills beyond. The sounds of the city rise from below church bells, prayer calls, and the hum of everyday life reminding you that this ancient place is still vibrant and alive. For me, this walk always inspires prayer. Surrounded by such deep history and spiritual significance, it’s hard not to turn your heart toward God.

🌿 What I love about our Guest House is its incredible location!
Yesterday, we took a leisurely walk through Mormon Park, soaking in stunning views of the Temple Mount, stopping by the serene Garden of Gethsemane and Marie’s Grotto.

As we continued our journey with the ancient city walls to our right and the breathtaking Mt. of Olives and Kidron Valley to our left, every step was a moment to cherish.

After just a 25-minute stroll, we arrived at the City of David, where we enjoyed a fascinating guided tour that ended with an unforgettable walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel. 🏛️💧
It was a beautiful experience, all within walking distance from our Guest House!

✨ When in Jerusalem… You Never Know Who You’ll Meet! ✨

Some of our guests had an unforgettable experience—they met “Jesus” from The Chosen at the Garden of Gethsemane!

One moment, they were soaking in the beauty and history of this sacred place… and the next, they found themselves face to face with Jonathan Roumie, the actor who portrays Jesus in the hit series. Only in Jerusalem!

We love that our guesthouse is just a 10-minute walk from Gethsemane and the Old City—because you never know what divine (or cinematic!) encounters await.
