que old stone house is located at the entrance to Solomon's Valley, overlooking the Red Sea, and the Edom (Red) Mountains. It stands as the most southern house in the State of Israel. Williams House was built in 1931 by Lord Leonard Williams, a British intelligent officer and a geologist, who served Her Majesty's Secret Service, spying in Israel. In 1948, when Israel’s Independence was declared, Williams fled in haste to Jordan aboard his rowing boat (Rumours suggest that he only had one paddle). Williams house is now a spiritual and ecological centre that offers boutique lodging and conducts both ecological awareness and Mind/Body workshops.
