At Ekaa, the Pattal’s Tasting Menu is where food, culture, and design quietly come together.

Rooted in the flavours of Agra and the Braj region, each dish carries memory and tradition, but is presented with a lighter, more modern approach.

The experience remains intimate — a slow meal, thoughtful plating, conversations across the table, and flavours that reveal themselves gently.

Much like Ekaa itself, the menu balances old and new without forcing either, allowing culture to be experienced in a way that feels contemporary, personal, and deeply connected to place.

Greens in India have always been part of how we live through summer — not just as colour, but as a way to cool, to soften, to create shade where it’s needed most.

From trees lining courtyards to creepers along walls, it’s an instinctive response to heat.

At Ekaa, this way of thinking quietly shapes the space. From the courtyard outside, to the reception you walk into, to the small nooks and corners that feel a little calmer, a little cooler — green is present not as decoration, but as purpose.

It’s part of how we design, drawing from familiar Indian ways of creating comfort, and translating them into spaces that feel natural, restful, and in tune with the city.

Pattal at Ekaa is not just a restaurant, it’s a way of understanding Agra through its food.

Rooted in the local kitchens of the city and the wider Braj region, what we serve moves away from the expected and returns to something more familiar — home-style, seasonal, and deeply connected to place.

From Pattal ki Daawat, where meals are served on leaf plates with clay bowls, to our Chef’s Tasting menus that reinterpret age-old recipes with a modern lens, every dish carries both memory and intention.

It’s intimate, unhurried, and quietly different — where the focus is not just on what you eat, but where it comes from and how it makes you feel.

Holi, a festival of colors in India, the way it’s meant to be — not rushed, not crowded, but lived. 🌸🌼🌷

A large open garden, colours in the air, laughter that carries, and the Taj quietly in the distance — not as something you stand next to, but something you experience alongside.

At Ekaa, this is how we share Agra. Not through the usual paths, but through moments that feel more real — where culture is not performed, but lived. You’re not just seeing the city, you’re part of it for a while — in its festivals, its people, its easy joy. 💛

“People may forget what you served, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” 🤍

At Ekaa, hospitality is not in what is placed on the table, but in what people carry back with them.

It’s in the way moments are held - sitting together, sharing a meal in a place not everyone can reach, with the Taj in the background. It’s in conversations with locals, in the warmth of food that comes from lived traditions, in the feeling of being part of something real, even if only for a while.

For us, it has always been about people - their stories, their presence, and the way they make a place feel alive. 🌸

In India, craft has never been separate from everyday life — it lives in the way things are made, used, and passed on.

Agra carries that spirit quietly, through hands that continue work learned over generations. Our ‘Crafts of Agra’ experience is built around this — not as a showcase, but as a way to spend time with the makers themselves.

You step into their workshops, see the process up close, understand the patience behind each detail, and leave with a deeper sense of where the city’s beauty truly comes from.

It’s not just about what you see, but what you begin to understand while you’re there. 🤍

At Ekaa, the day doesn’t rush to an end — it softens into rest. You return to your room, let the warmth of a shower slow you down, a cup of tisane in hand, and the quiet of the space begins to settle in. It’s a gentle pause, where the city fades just enough for you to exhale. And as night deepens, rest becomes part of the experience — so you wake up ready to begin again, a little slower, a little more present.

“Ine soil is the great connector ot lives.” - Wendell Berry

Fresh vegetables, for us, are not just ingredients - they carry the rhythm of the land and the kitchens they come from.

The local produce we use, along with jars of pickles made slowly over time, are a small reflection of how we like to cook - close to the source, simple, and full of intent.

At Pattal, our kitchen works around this idea every day.

The team shapes each meal with care, letting ingredients lead rather than overpowering them.

And it all finds its way to the table through Pattal ki Daawat - where what is grown, preserved, and prepared comes together as a meal that feels rooted, familiar, and quietly complete.
