At Ekaa, much of the house is made up of these small decisions, each chosen to make the place feel less designed and more lived in. Because sometimes it is the smallest things that tell you where you are.

The story of a meal begins long before it reaches the table.

From the fertile lands around Agra, shaped by its soil, seasons and waters, comes a produce that has always been at the heart of the region’s kitchens. Local vegetables, homemade pickles, traditional ingredients and recipes preserved in family kitchens have carried the flavours of Agra through generations.

At Pattal our restaurant , we bring these stories together — recreating the spirit of traditional feasts where food was served with warmth, shared with community and celebrated as a connection between the land, its people and its traditions. 💛

In 2019, four friends sat together, searching for a name that could hold the essence of what had created. While looking through the pages of an old book, they came across a verse from the Rig Veda:

“Ekam Sat, Viprah Bahudha Vadanti” Truth is one, but the wise speak of it in many ways.

The words stayed with them.
Ekaa was named from this idea — that a place can have many expressions, yet one soul.

Through food, architecture, crafts, experiences and the stories of Agra, Ekaa has always aimed to bring together different perspectives of the same city.

A reminder that every place has many layers, and every story can be experienced in many ways. ♥️

Dal Moth - a much-loved savoury from one of Agra’s old food establishments, carrying the city’s everyday flavours and traditions.

Petha from a local favourite shop - Agra’s iconic sweet, known far beyond the city and rooted in generations of craft.

Tea from Gelberurn (Glenburn Tea Estate) - carefully selected teas to enjoy as a quiet morning ritual or an evening pause.

Coffee from Billu Hu (Bili Hu Coffee) - freshly prepared coffee for a familiar comfort during your stay.
