“We had initially booked The Ajmer Bungalow as a night halt for our drive from Vadodara to Delhi. The booking experience with Naveen was superb and his call to us prior to our arrival to check what we wanted and suggest tips to us was also much appreciated. Mostly however we were amazed when we reached The Ajmer Bungalow. The Ajmer Bungalow is more than a 100 year old house where Naveen stays. One side of it has been renovated for guests. The bedroom, anteroom and bathroom are clean, comfortable and immediately gives you a sense of homeliness and comfort. The whole house is filed with books and art. It's an absolute paradise for anyone who loves that. I could seriously spend days and days there just going through his books. The highlight of the stay was ofcourse the food. Naveen cooks himself and I would strongly recommend that you skip a few meals before you reach to do justice to the spread. When Naveen had asked us what we wanted for dinner, I had suggested local cuisine. What was waiting for us was the tastiest food I have EVER eaten ANYWHERE in Rajasthan. Naveen was waiting for us and we sat down for dinner together and by the time it was over, i could not move anymore. Next morning's breakfast was equally amazing and the eggs were to die for. Even the breakfast condiments - various kinds of jams and preserves are home made by Naveen, which resulted in me overeating again. I think that if I spent a few more days there I would definitely have added a few more inches to my already bulging waistline..... Overall, we are exhilarated at this find by us and cant wait to plan a longer vacation just to go through Naveen's book collection and gorge on his culinary masterpieces.”
