​This week here was the second week of three in India. After a busy first week visiting Kochi, Munnar and on a boat in the Backwaters, we were delighted to settle here at Veena. We loved the architecture of the building and enjoyed imagining being here two hundred years ago. It has been said before in this book, but we have to say it too: Raju, Sali (our wonderful chef while Jitendra is away recovering from a leg injury) and Sheeja are the stars of the show! They were always smiling and wanting to be of service to us. Fantastic! We will always remember our stay here, and will recommend Veena highly to anyone who plans to visit this part of Kerala.
