Keeping in with our tradition of exploring the culinary delights of Konkan, we are organizing a 'BONFIRE AND POPTI NIGHT' at the blissful seashore of Ecocenter, Nagaon on 8-9 December, 2018.
BONFIRE can never enjoyed & POPTI is never eaten ,ALONE and is always shared among friends and family. While the ingredients cook on the fire and in an earthen pot, everyone sits around the fire singing and sharing stories.

What is Popti?
POPTI is a unique and localized recipe made during the harvest festival in the Raigad district of Konkan. It is so named because of the use of a wild herb called Popti which is available for only a few months from DECEMBER to MARCH. The recipe is simple. In an earthen pot along with the popti leaves, marinated chicken, vaalachya shenga (beans), onions and eggs are added with rock salt , masala and ajwain. The pot is sealed with more Popti leaves and then put on to a fire made from cocounut husl, leaves and twigs for 45 mins to cook. Once cooked, the beans and chicken is to be eaten just like that or with rice. There is an equally delicious vegetarian variant with potations, beans, onions etc.

5:00 Pm- Arrival and check in at venue
5:30 pm- High tea and snacks with leisure time at property,watching sunset, you can have footprints on seashore, or just relax on a hammock!
8:00 pm - Bonfire, barbecue, dinner under open sky, music and chitchats !!
Day 2 (9 December,2018)
8:00 am - Breakfast
9:00am - walk around 6 acres property of Ecocenter
11:00 am- Checkout with memories!
