Where Freedom Once Stayed 🇮🇳

What if the room you’re standing in today once sheltered the minds and souls who helped shape a free India?

At Badi Kothi, these aren’t just rooms—they are witnesses to history.
For over 400 years, this heritage property has carried stories of the people who stayed within these walls, including Rabindranath Tagore, Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel—along with a library that holds echoes of an extraordinary era.

You don’t just stay at Badi Kothi. You stay where history once stayed.

🇮🇳 400 years of heritage. A legacy that still lives within these walls.

The Sacred Room of Mirabai ✨

Step into a space where devotion is believed to have echoed through every corner. This heritage room is traditionally associated with Saint Mirabai, the great devotee of Lord Krishna, who is said to have spent her time here immersed in prayer, meditation, and soulful bhajans dedicated to her beloved Shyam.

One unique feature of this room is that the washroom was built separately, preserving the sanctity of the prayer space, as a place of worship was never combined with bathing or toilet facilities in traditional Indian architecture.

It is believed that Mirabai experienced immense peace and positive spiritual energy in this room. Her unwavering love for Lord Krishna inspired her to spend countless hours here, singing devotional hymns that touched the hearts of everyone who heard them. Visitors would gather to listen to her divine voice and witness her extraordinary devotion.

Even today, this room continues to welcome guests seeking serenity, heritage, and a spiritually enriching staycation. Experience the timeless aura, immerse yourself in history, and feel the divine tranquility that has captivated hearts for generations.

✨ Come, stay in Mirabai’s Room, and experience a heritage that continues to inspire faith, peace, and devotion.
