The walnut stage marks an important phase in the growth journey of apples 🍎

At this stage, the fruit begins developing rapidly in size and structure, while the tree channels nutrients toward healthy fruit formation. Proper irrigation, nutrient management, and continuous monitoring during this period play a major role in determining the final quality of the harvest.

Every stage in farming matters.
And healthy harvests are built through consistent care, patience, and the right practices at the right time. 🌱

Aipan is more than an art form. It is the heartbeat of Uttarakhand’s culture, drawn lovingly by the hands of women for generations. Made using natural red mud and rice paste, every pattern carries blessings, gratitude, and a deep connection with nature.

At Tatva Hills, we celebrate this beautiful tradition not just as art, but as a way of life.

Just like the intricate lines of Aipan are created with patience and intention, our farmers continue to follow organic and mindful farming practices passed down through generations. From preparing the soil naturally to nurturing crops with care, every step reflects harmony between people and the land they live on.

This is the beauty of the hills.
Where culture is not preserved in museums, but lived every single day.
Where traditions still guide the way food is grown, festivals are celebrated, and communities stay connected to their roots.

Through Tatva Hills, we are proud to keep these traditions alive and share the wisdom of the mountains with the world. 🌿

On the auspicious occasion of Gurudev’s birthday, Team Tatva Hills had the opportunity to come together with more than 400 people under one roof, sharing not just a celebration, but a purpose. From meaningful conversations to heartfelt participation, every moment carried the energy of collective impact.

We were honoured to host Ajay Bhatt, who showed keen interest in our pine pellet initiative in the hills. Dialogues like these strengthen the bridge between grassroots efforts and larger change.

One of the most beautiful moments of the evening came from the children, as they explored Prajna Yoga through a blindfolded activity, expressing traits through colors and intuition. A reminder that awareness and connection begin from within.

We are also proud to share our nomination for our work in forest fire mitigation and water harvesting in the hills. Every step forward is a reflection of the communities we work with and the belief that sustainable change is built together.

We are happy to share another milestone from the ground in Almora. With the support and dedication of volunteers from four villages, we were able to collect 1 ton of pine needles in a single day.

What makes this special is not just the number, but the consistency and commitment that keeps growing with every effort on ground. Each day like this brings us a step closer to building a more sustainable and structured system of pine needle collection, while also strengthening community participation in a very real way.

We are now working towards the next target of 1.5 tons per day in the coming days, and we remain deeply grateful to everyone who is part of this journey, quietly showing up and making it possible.

Turning waste into wealth, the natural way 🌱

At Tatva Hills, vermicomposting is more than a practice, it’s a commitment to sustainable farming. Organic waste is carefully processed using earthworms to create nutrient-rich compost that improves soil health, boosts microbial activity, and enhances crop productivity.

By adopting vermicomposting, we reduce waste, lower dependency on chemical fertilizers, and move one step closer to regenerative agriculture.

Healthy soil. Sustainable harvests. Stronger ecosystems.

The stage after fruit set is critical for ensuring a healthy and high-quality harvest 🍎

A timely spray of crop protectants combined with bio-fertilizers helps safeguard the developing fruits from pests and diseases, while also addressing nutrient deficiencies at the right moment. This not only reduces premature fruit drop but also improves overall fruit quality in terms of color, taste, and shape.

By strengthening plant health during this phase, we can also prevent common issues like fruit cracking and physiological disorders, ensuring better yield and market value for farmers.

Another step forward in transforming challenges into opportunities 🌱

A fresh tranche of pine needles has been successfully collected and delivered to the pine pellet factory, with two collection drives across Goelkhan and Kalika bringing in 245 kg and 236 kg respectively.

What was once a forest fire risk is now becoming a valuable resource. Each collection reflects the strength of community participation, local ownership, and a shared commitment towards sustainability.

With the season progressing well, we continue to move steadily towards our targets, creating impact that is both environmental and economic.
