KASHMIR—MANY FACES
Behold the rallies humming like bees ,Polluting the air, the gentle breeze ;
Again the fools dance and sing,
To please the wicked, ferocious king;
And raise ugly tones to praise them high,
As if the gods never would die ;
And beg for a vote for the fraudulent God ,As if he is the supreme Lord—
Who promise a lot but provide naught ,
And thus play with many a heart ...
The same people yesterday pelted stones ,And filled the air with freedom tones ;Today have put one different faces ,
And tying with teeth the dirty shoe laces—
Everywhere exist these black sheep
,Who laugh at the tears when others weep ;What is wrong with my Kashmir valeyy ,That tells everyday a different tale ?
Oh Allah bless this wounded land ,
Let flowers grow from the blood red sand ;Let blood of my brothers not go vain
,End this misery, agony and pain ;
Let freedom reign and freedom sing ,And peace do conquire everything...!
