Today is Bail Pola. A harvest festival celebrated by farmers in Maharashtra to show their appreciation to the oxen and bullocks for their vital contribution to farming. Colourful decorations, pujas, processions and even exciting cattle races are part of the community celebrations. All a part of our wonderful philosophy and traditions.
The bazaars are full of figurines, the streets with decorated cattle, and the mood is festive.
At The Meadows we honour the cattle and the farmers whose bountiful produce tickle our tastebuds, nourish and sustain us.
