Happy Diwali!

A few snapshots of the evening: Radhey Shyam getting his oil filled diya ready, smiling gleefully at his days work, commandeering young Arun to be diya-bearer as he plods along dictating placement, balking at the sight of new-fangled t-lights, but holding his peace. Tradition marching apace with change, the Spotted owlet keeping a steady eye on proceedings. He too may have balked at the t-light version, but tonight the peace was kept.

Peter Rabbit (Hare)

The Indian Jungle Hare (Lepus nigricollis), though a shy solitary animal, can usually be seen frolicking across our grounds.

This particular one, Peter, for ease of reference, chose to drop by for lunch, and stayed on for siesta. We haven’t seen his blue jacket, nor Mr. McGregor, but a kindly Babbler was around, just in case 😉
