In the last 3.5 years since we started "The Hostel Stories", we have hosted thousands of travelers with a vision to give a home to all wanderers.

Many of them considered us their Mountains Home or beach town home but the person like Kriti Malik, who just came for 2 days on her first visit in May 2023, fell in love with Bir & made our home her 2nd home.

A place where nobody is judging her & accepted her like a family member. She came 7 times in 2024 in Bir which was our highest visit in a year (not the longest though), Celebrated 3 new years with us in Bir, 2 Holi festivals in Varkala.

None of us ever thought since when a guest turns into a friend then to a family for us, or become a part of our team while volunteering in Bir or Managing our Varkala home. She has given so much to "The Hostel Stories" and it's not a small thing when she writes a whole poetry for us & melted our heart with so much of love 💕

We are a community backpackers hostel in Bir & we give a True Backpackers Hostel experience. Only backpackers hostel in Bir who is providing Community Kitchen so travelers can travel in Budget & say NO to Big Groups.

We have designed our hostel for Solo Travelers and for small groups so that we can all sit together like this & play games, share stories & end our trip with good memories.

When Solo Travelers meet while traveling & make Connections to cherish the whole life. This moment is one of them.

We hiked for one & a half hour to reach this place called "Tatwani" , we swam in the hot water spring for almost an hour, then made Maggie & this vibe is incomplete without the Exclusive Maggie Song sang by .

This is called a true backpackers vibe.

Why do we call Bir "The Hostel Stories" our Mountains Home 🏠

We are not a commercial hostel in Bir but a community space designed to host Solo Travelers where travelers can meet like minded people, they make new connections & friends.

These pics are clicked between 25th Dec - 03rd Jan. There were many people who stayed for Xmas New Year time & ended up creating unforgettable memories to cherish a lifetime.
