On the morning safari of Saturday, 27th June 2026, in the Jhiri Tourism Zone of , a 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐤 was photographed near the Kheri Mahadev area by Imran Khan, Senior Guide of Ratapani Jungle Lodge.
The Lesser Adjutant Stork is not generally regarded as a resident species of Madhya Pradesh or Central India. It is found predominantly in the northern and northeastern parts of the country. Birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts often travel to destinations such as Kaziranga National Park, Manas National Park, Jim Corbett National Park, Dudhwa National Park and the Keoladeo (Bharatpur) Bird Sanctuary to observe this remarkable bird.
This is believed to be the first photographic record of the Lesser Adjutant Stork from the vicinity of Bhopal and the Ratapani Tiger Reserve.

There are moments in the forest that no photograph or video can truly capture, and this was certainly one of them. As the majestic T-1236 continued his leisurely walk through the Jhiri Tourism Zone, our guests watched in complete silence, mesmerised by his sheer confidence, grace and raw power. There was no hurry, no fear and no hesitation—only the quiet assurance of a tiger patrolling the landscape he calls home. These are the moments that remain etched in memory long after the safari has ended, reminding us that every drive into the forests of Ratapani holds the promise of witnessing nature at its most magnificent.

The glorious tiger sightings at Ratapani continue to create unforgettable memories for our guests.

This evening, the guests of Ratapani Jungle Lodge were treated to yet another spectacular encounter with the magnificent T-1236 in the Jhiri Tourism Zone. Walking calmly along the forest road with absolute confidence, he carried himself with the effortless authority of a true king—completely at home in his territory and utterly unperturbed by the presence of safari vehicles.

His massive frame, striking features and composed demeanour allowed our guests ample opportunity to admire, photograph and simply absorb the privilege of sharing a few precious moments with one of Ratapani's most charismatic tigers. Sightings like these are what make every safari unique and remind us why the forests of Ratapani continue to captivate wildlife lovers from across the country.

After a night washed gently by rain, the jungle woke up fresh, fragrant and glowing in soft golden light. As the morning sun filtered through the trees, this gorgeous tiger emerged quietly onto the track, almost as if enjoying the warmth of the first sunlight and drying himself after the rains.
Moments like these are what make the forests of Ratapani truly magical.

What a fabulous morning safari it turned out to be. A beautiful male tiger was seen walking gracefully along the hillside as all our guests enjoyed an absolutely spectacular morning in the forests of Ratapani — crisp, cool, fragrant and wonderfully refreshing. The soft morning light, the peaceful jungle atmosphere and the sight of this magnificent tiger moving effortlessly across the hill face made for a truly unforgettable experience. All our safari vehicles were fortunate enough to enjoy excellent views of the tiger, making it yet another beautiful drive and a wonderfully rewarding safari in the magical forests of Ratapani. This lovely video was kindly shared with us by one of our guests, and we remain truly grateful to them for allowing us to share these beautiful moments further with everyone else.
