Started in 2019, Bistar Homes & Hostels operates with the desire to promote tourism in an unconventional way by creating awareness about a location and promoting its existing values. With a mission to provide hospitality and elevate local tourism in Bhopal and it's nearby places, while also giving the chance for the local community to benifit and grow, along with the intention of slow traveling.

Job Description

Looking for a Co-founder with Investment to lead the Business Development & Strategic Planning for Bistar Homes and Hostels. Someone who has a passion for Entrepreneurship, Travel and Hospitality. What would you be doing and more: As a co-founder, partner, and leader in the organisation. you would be in a cross-functional role to get things off the ground. A few things we could point our finger on regarding the role:

• Expanding the brand across the country as a franchise and sustainable business model.

• Bring up Bistar Homes & Hostels as your own prodigy and into a budding start-up venture. ldentifying opportunities where the product could be enhanced, so as to cater different specifications of Consumers.

• Build the road map for Bistar in not just brand awareness but also attract investors to take it to the next stage of our startup.

• As a Co-founder you should be ready to invest time and finance at the initial stage of re-opening the brand at a different location.

What's in it for You:

Since the business is a bootstrapped one, we would be able to provide: An Equal partnership in the Business. Salary would be provided once the business receives seed funding, or the model becomes Self Sustaining.

Udayagiri Caves are a group of rock - cut cave sanctuaries, carved into a sandstone hill that stand, sentinel like, on the horizon. Situated in Sonpura and Udaygiri villages of Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It Literarily translates to "Hill of sunrise", Udayagiri was mentioned as Kumari Parvat in Hathigumpha inscription. There are about twenty rock cut caves carved into an outcrop of sandstone and these caves have been numbered according to the sequence in which they were excavated.

Brewed for hours with a pinch of salt, the aroma of sulemani chai will take you back in time. Served in a cup and saucer with garnishing of 'malai' on top, the unique taste is to die for.

Some of the shops have been around for decades and are still today serving the same flavours which were relished by then generation who enjoyed the endless discussions over a cup of tea.

Old city is a hub for the local culture and one may find many just chatting with their friends at leisure spots around the parts of old city. One of the most well-known are the steps of Bab-E-Sikandari leading right up to the Upper lake or Bada Talab.

The zenana quarters of Gohar mahal, on the left, obstructs nothing between the gate and the quarters. In those days, the VIP road didnt exist and if you look carefully there are stairs that lead down into what would have been the edge of the upper lake.

Located at a 2 hours drive distance from Bhopal, is this beautiful temple - Mala Devi in quaint town of Gyaraspur, Vidisha district. It is located at a picturesque location on the edge of a hill and you can get some beautiful panoramic views of the valley from temple.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Partly rock-cut and partly structural, this temple has an entrance porch, a hall and a sanctum crowned with a Shikhara which has rich carvings. The temple shrine and hall, at present, has Jain idols and a figure of goddess occupying the dedicatory block on the outer door frame and few other sculptures that are believed to be dated 9-10th century AD.

This temple definitely stands as a testimony to the artistic skills of Indian Craftsmanship.

This is said to be world tallest Shiv Linga carved using a single stone. This 11th-century temple located in Bhojpur town which is 30km from Bhopal city is an architectural marvel.

There is a slope behind the temple that is believed to be used for rolling the stones up for construction. It is said that no other similar structure in the world has this technique available to build huge complexes.

This unfinished temple could have been one of the largest temples of Lord Shiva if it was completed. Depicting the temple plans, moldings, and pillars, there are various architectural drawings etched on the flat surfaces of the quarry.
