এ.পি.জে. আব্দুল কালাম বলেছিলেন, "স্বপ্ন সেটা নয়, যেটা মানুষ ঘুমিয়ে ঘুমিয়ে দেখে, স্বপ্ন সেটাই যেটা পূরণের প্রত্যাশা মানুষকে ঘুমাতে দেয় না।"

এমনই একরাশ সবুজায়নের স্বপ্ন নিয়ে শুরু হয়েছিল এক অধ্যায় ঠিক ২০ বছর আগে। তখন তার আগা গোড়া কিছুই স্পষ্ট ছিলনা। তাও দিন রাত এক করে স্বপ্ন দেখা থামেনি। গাছ একটি প্রাণ, এবং সেই প্রাণ পৃথিবীতে আরো অনেক প্রাণের সৃষ্টি করে তা আমরা এক সময়ে বইয়ে পড়তাম। আজ গাছ যে আমাদের কতখানি দরকার তা আমরা হাড়ে হাড়ে টের পাচ্ছি।

আজ এই বিশ্ব বসুন্ধরা দিবসে অর্থাৎ World Earth Day তে তুলে ধরলাম এই সবুজ স্বপ্ন দেখার জন্মদাতার কিছু মূল্যবান বক্তব্য। আসুন আমরা সবাই এক সাথে মিলে একই সবুজের পথে হাঁটি। সেই পথে অন্যদের আমাদের সাথে সামিল করি। এই সবুজের স্বপ্ন হয়ে উঠুক সবার। জয়ধ্বনি বাজুক আকাশে বাতাসে, ফুলে ফলে, প্রকৃতিতে। পাখিরা করুক কলরব, কারণ এই সবুজের আভা যেন এরপর থেকে আরো দূর থেকে দূরান্ত অবধি ছড়িয়ে পড়ুক।

দেখা হচ্ছে সবার সাথে আগামী ১লা মে, আমাদের এই সবুজের ঠিকানায় যার নাম বি. ভি. বনউদ্যান।

Durga Puja is a bliss in each of our lives. We at Daronda celebrate the Mahanavami, delivering our offerings to Ma Chandi, the residential Goddess of the village. Entire village engages themselves in the festivities for this one single day. The Bhog is served amongst all the residents and guests at large.
