It’s been 1 year since we opened the doors of The Palm House on 1st August 2025 💫🙏🏽
After months of renovation, sleepless nights, mishaps, and questioning which shade of sage green was ‘the one’, we got the doors open and haven’t looked back.
When we took over this building, we fell in love with the bones. The floors, the window frames, the wood panelling, but everything else needed work. So we hummed and haa’d over every corner until it stopped feeling like a project and started feeling cosy, like a home. It was an insanely huge project for the 3 of us co-founders to take on, and we really pushed our limits mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially.
What we always knew we wanted, was a long term community accommodation for people who sometimes feel isolated living alone, and a good space for remote working with the best Wifi. Closely followed by a space for wellness and bumping into people over your morning chai or coffee; where people didn’t just stay, they felt safe shared big tables and beach walks and ideas.
What we didn’t expect is how much our guests would bond with the place and get emotionally invested in their new found routines in house. The guests and the staff started to feel like home and love how great the vibe is when it’s humming away in the cafe.
One year in, it’s a lot of beautiful things that we planned, but it has also become so much more than we could have imagined 🥰 Thank you for all your compliments, your feedback, your patience, and for being part of it 🙏🏽
